Mittens & More for Our UUCH Trees

December 1 – December 29, 2024

        Bring children’s hats, scarves, gloves and mittens to hang on the sanctuary trees or place in the baskets underneath. Whether handmade or purchased, your generous gifts will warm area children through the winter. In 2024, the mitten tree contributions were given to Children in Need, located in downtown Hagerstown, which distributes children’s clothing free of charge to local residents in need.

Decorating Our Church Home

First Saturday in December   10 a.m.- 11 a.m. (or whenever we finish)

Festoon the sanctuary and Martin House for the winter holidays. Bring your artistic skills and step ladder agility. Many decorations are available at church but donate more if you choose. But please, no live greens to protect those with allergies.

Christmas Eve Service

December 24  at  7 p.m.    Bring cookies to share after the service.

Usually an original holiday play by our UUCH Players.

For everyone  school age and up.

Previous programs have focused on the Winter Solstice and Yule, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Chalica (a UU holiday), and many aspects of Christmas.
